This project will remind drivers what the speed limit is through town and encourage them to slow down.

Marine drive is the main route through town and our recreation facilities and parks are adjacent to it. Speeding drivers pose a risk to other drivers and pedestrians. Although the Village of Port Alice has two RCMP officers stationed in the community, they are often working in Port Hardy which is 45 minutes away. This limits our officer's ability to enforce speed limits.
