This project has two parts to improve road safety in the community. The first part of the project will offer Driver Training from a local driving school to support community members to get their driver’s license. The second part of this project will hire a team to clear the trees at the roadside and allow drivers a clear view of the road in the community.

The Kispiox Band will provide an opportunity for Band Members to access Drivers Training in order to receive their Drivers Licence. We will be utilizing a local driving school (Northern BC Driving School) to provide the training.

There are a number of roads in the community of Kispiox, where vision is impaired by overgrown trees. Dense vegetation obstructing the view is not only a fire hazard but also impairs the vision of those driving. The Kispiox Band will have a small crew of workers brush the trees back so the vision will no longer be impaired.
