This project will provide pedestrians and cyclists with an alternative path so they can avoid walking or cycling along the highway. Additionally, to promote usage of the trail, we will be purchasing e-bikes for the youth to use.

The Cayoose community does not have any significant signage promoting the "River Trail" or how to use the trail safely and according to Cayoose Creek designated Usage. This River Trail has the potential to deter pedestrians from travelling on Highway 99 and promote a well-shaded, safer way to reach key locations within the community (e.g., the band office, chevron gas station, 5 plex, 3 plex). It is also a trail to ride a bike or take a beautiful walk/run along the Lower Seton Spawning Channel. The trail will promote physical activities along with Bike share program.
