The Down to You Podcast is the latest project created by the Fraser Basin Council’s Youth Program. The Program engages youth to transform their communities through positive leadership and actions. Hosted by Hollis Nelson and Alex Penney, the Podcast focusses what individuals can do to help their communities meet the challenges of the climate crisis.

In their pilot episode titled, "The Future of Getting Around", the audience is introduced to two individuals: Paolo Bigit, an El Salvadorian videographer living in Kamloops; and Kyle Ross, a university student and community organizer in Prince George, who have challenged themselves to choose and model transportation methods that reduce carbon emissions in car-centric cities. They will share what sustainable transport look like, how they overcome barriers in access to sustainable transport, and how youth can empower themselves and improve their communities by advocating for changes to current transportation system. The episode also features cameo guest, Tobin Copley, the Injury Prevention Lead for Fraser Health and one of five grant leads for the BC Vision Zero Road Safety Grant Program.

Episode 1 and the Down to You Podcast can be found on the Downtoyou.ca website and all major podcast platforms: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon, Google, and Pocket Casts.
