Now accepting applications for the 2022/23 BC Vision Zero in Road Safety Grant Program

The 2022-23 grant intake is open November 1, 2022. Applications close next year on January 16, 2023.

Is there a street that is in need of pedestrian crosswalk?


Are you looking to install the newest technologies to minimize dangerous speeding in your neighbourhood?


Do you have a project that involves improving pedestrian, cyclist, or other road user safety?

If so, then consider applying to the BC Vision Zero in Road Safety Grant Program 2022/23. This Grant Program launched last year and is re-opening its application intake starting November 1, 2022. Local governments, Indigenous governments and non-governmental organizations in British Columbia are eligible to apply. Applicants are welcomed to submit project proposals that address the safety of vulnerable road users in their community. Up to $20,000 in funding can be requested per project.

Example projects include:

  • Traffic signal timing changes
  • Raised crosswalks
  • Solar powered speed feedback signs
  • Rectangular rapid flashing beacons
  • Innovative pavement markings

The deadline for application submission is January 16, 2023. All applications must be submitted online via the Vision Zero in Road Safety applicant platform.
